Iota Chapter: Rutgers University, New Brunswick, NJ
After researching various Greek organizations, and not finding one that incorporated all aspects of who we were as individuals, women, what we looked for in a “sisterhood” and our goals of making a change in our communities through intellectual development, service, and cultural awareness we thought Greek life might not be for us. For sometime, we seized our search and began finding other ways to be active in our communities.
Then unexpectedly, we found Lambda Psi Delta Sorority Incorporated and since then everything has changed. Pursuing an organization that was not already on campus seemed like a lot of work, but after becoming more involved with the organization, we saw no other alternative. For one year, we worked with the organization and developed leadership skills, sisterly bonds, and lessons for a lifetime. Many aspired and desired but only three strong women had what it took and on May 15, 2004 we emerged as the Dazzling DIAMOND Divas and founding Sorors of Lambda Psi Delta Sorority Incorporated, IOTA Chapter!
